The 19,000 panel farm will deliver 12,400 MWh/annum (Megawatt Hours per annum), which is the equivalent of about 2,500 households’ yearly demand. All the energy produced will be used by the treatment plant and pumping stations. Any excess energy will be fed into the public grid for external use.

More than 160,000 solar panels have already been installed as part of SA Water’s Zero Cost Energy Future initiative, at sites such as the Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant (19.24 MW) and the Adelaide Desalination Plant (15.5 MW).
